PSP CFW with Infinity

Infinity is a tool that allows users to enable a persistent custom firmware on their PSP. This method is for the PSP’s with restrictive hardware, and giving them an option to set up a permanent CFW.

What you’ll need
  • A working PSP console (Update to the latest firmware, 6.61)
  • PSP data transfer cable, or a way to connect the memory stick to your PC
  • Infinity
  • Keeping your PSP on charge (Optional, but recommended)
Usage and Instructions
  1. Follow this guide, but do not follow the “Making the CFW permanent” section
    • Come back to this guide after installing PRO-C
  2. Download Infinity, then plug your PSP into your PC and enable USB transfer mode, or plug your memory stick into a card reader
  3. Copy the EBOOT.PSP from the newly downloaded Infinity .zip file, and paste it into PSP > GAME > UPDATE folder.
  4. Unplug your PSP from your PC, then go to the Games > Memory Stick folder on your PSP.
    • Open the Infinity app, press X for install, and then soon after press X again to reboot your PSP.
  5. After PSP has rebooted, open the Infinity app again and hit the left button to see a list of firmwares.
    • Select the firmware that you have installed. If you followed this guide, select PRO
    • Reboot your PSP

Congrats! You’ve successfully jailbroken your PSP system. You can now run homebrew applications, run emulators, overclocking capabilities, using the PSP as a PC controller, downloading and installing cheats, customising the home screen etc.
