PS4 Exploit (Works with FW 5.05 – 7.55)

As the title says, this works with firmwares 5.05 – 7.55 (5.05/5.07, 6.72, 7.02 and 7.55). This exploit also works with 4.05 and 4.55, but I recommend updating to the Golden Firmware 5.05.

What you’ll need
  • PS4 with internet connection (Do not connect to internet yet)

Firstly, go to the PS4 Settings > System > Automatic Downloads and disable all options.

Usage and Instructions
  1. Go to Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection and choose a connection type you want to use.
  2. Select Custom, then set DHCP Host Name to Do Not Specify
  3. Set DNS Settings to Manual, then input the following
    • Primary DNS: 165.227.83.145
    • Secondary DNS: 192.241.221.79
  4. Set MTU Settings to Automatic, then press Circle to skip the internet connection test
  5. Return to Settings > User’s Guide / Helpful Info > User’s Guide to launch Al-Azif’s exploit page.
  6. Select your PS4 firmware, then press Disable Updates
  7. Select HEN (Select GoldHEN instead if you see it)
    • Exploit stability varies with different firmwares, so you may need to retry Step 5 if jailbreak fails or PS4 freezes.
  8. If successful, you should see notifications about the HEN payload launching.
  9. To confirm the payload launched successfully, Go to the PS4 Settings, then look for ★Debug settings at the bottom of the page

Congrats! You have successfully jailbroken your PS4. You can backup and install PS4 games, run emulators, game mods, unlock better performance, run Linux etc. You will need to repeat Step 5 each time you restart your PS4, because the jailbreak isn’t permanent. You can also bookmark the website on the PS4 browser to run the exploit.
